SafeEdge Consulting provides ongoing Health and Safety support to this industrial manufacturing client, focusing on DSEAR compliance and hazardous area zoning within their drum reconditioning and processing facility. Following an initial site inspection and risk review, SafeEdge conducted a full DSEAR assessment and zoning exercise, identifying flammable atmospheres associated with cleaning and drying operations. We produced detailed documentation, including Explosion Protection Documentation (EPD), and established an ongoing compliance programme.
Our involvement now includes weekly site visits to monitor operational controls, develop suitable and sufficient risk assessments (RA), maintain COSHH assessments, and ensure all policies and procedures remain up to date and proportionate to the risks on site. This partnership has strengthened site safety standards and provided ongoing assurance to both management and insurers.
